Description:
Volvo Group is hiring an Accountant for its Global Group Finance division in Bangalore to manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable (AR) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) processing. Operating in a collaborative corporate service framework, you will execute daily accounting entries for both intercompany and third-party corporate entities. The core responsibilities focus on balancing financial data streams—including precise high-volume customer invoicing, multi-currency bank cash applications, active credit collection tracking, and complex ledger reconciliations. You will act as an independent owner during critical month-end financial book-closings, ensuring total alignment with Volvo’s global compliance metrics.
Key Technologies:
SAP, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in Commerce (B.Com) or an MBA in Finance with a strong, definitive command over core accounting principles.
- 2+ years of professional hands-on accounting experience explicitly running Accounts Receivable operations, covering both domestic/international intercompany and non-intercompany transactions.
- Deep functional understanding of the complete Order-to-Cash (O2C) lifecycle framework, including specialized workflow management across client invoicing, incoming cash applications, and credit collection tracking.
- Strong operational knowledge handling cash and bank accounting logs, posting standard journal entries, clearing ledger accounts, and conducting balance sheets or bank reconciliations.
- Direct practical exposure supporting structured month-end financial reporting deadlines, accrual configurations, and closing ledger verifications.
- Absolute hands-on engineering familiarity using SAP ERP finance modules (FICO) to execute transactions, extract ledgers, and manage customer accounts.
- High proficiency using MS Excel (including lookups, pivot tables, and data cleaning macros), Word, and PowerPoint for financial reporting templates.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills to handle query resolutions with international stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills, intense attention to structural detail, and full flexibility to support rotational day/night shifts based on business calendar needs.
